Versa Cowl
There’s nothing quite like knitting a cozy, textured cowl in your favorite colors. Whether you opt for bold and vibrant shades or soft and muted tones, using yarn in hues that bring you joy can make the knitting process even more enjoyable. Not only does knitting with your favorite colors add an extra layer of enjoyment, but it also allows you to express your personal style and create a one-of-a-kind accessory that truly speaks to you.
Textured Knitting
For my Versa Cowl, I did exactly that, and I’m so happy with the results! This cowl pattern has beautiful texture and can be worn in several different ways. You can fold it on itself and wear the striped side out or the textured side out, or you can wear it open and scrunched down with both stripes and textures showing. You can even wear it as a snood by pulling it over your head!
This cowl has quickly become one of my most used accessories. It helps keep my neck warm on those freezing cold mornings as I walk along the canal.
Preventing Stripe Jog
The pattern for this cowl is super simple, using only knit and purl stitches. Nothing complicated. However, I did make one slight modification to ensure jogless stripes. After knitting one full row of the new color, I pulled the stitch up from the previous row on the second round of the new color and did a knit two together (k2tog). This helped the stripes blend seamlessly together.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cowl pattern to anyone looking for a simple, but stylish knitting project. It’s versatile, cozy, and a lot of fun to make.
